I hadn't been thinking of Godard, but I see what you mean, it is dialectical after all! I was actually thinking of Hollis Frampton's Nostalgia, in terms of sound/image dispacement, although it's somewhat different structurally... yes DL is back: a project in its own right or somewhere to syphon the surplus, probably both, one idea is to experiment more specifically with the written/spoken textual aspects... but, you know, things can easily change.
